I write for many age groups—from the youngest little ones to tweens, teens and occasionally even grown-ups. Contemporary realistic stories are my sweet spot, but I venture into other genres, too. Please check back for news on future books!
The 2020 Schneider Family Book Award winner, my debut YA novel was drawn from my own experience of being diagnosed with a chronic illness at 13. It’s funny, frank and—content warning—full of F Bombs. What it is most of all (apart from being a great read) is REAL.
I had an experience while studying abroad in Spain that I always thought was a great example of me resiliency and problem solving skills—one that I believed would be relatable and inspiring for other people with arthritis or other disabilities. So when I was invited to contribute to this anthology, I knew just what story I wanted to tell.
